Confession time. This top was in my 'shopping bag' on the American Apparel website for about 6 months. $70+ is a bit more than I'm usually willing to spend on a crop top. But then one afternoon after college I found myself with some time to kill and a (very) temporarily flourishing bank account (thank you pay day) so I walked up to the store on Crown St. No less than ten minutes later I was walking out with this top. I almost bought it in multiple colours but somehow managed to stop myself. But I can't promise I won't go back for more now that the aftershock of the purchase has worn off.
In non-fluff related news, I have exams this week and then a whole three weeks off from college. Although I plan to be doing interning the whole time, I did take some annual leave off from work so that I'll at least get one weekend off to spend in bed with my new best friend Netflix. I'm not sure of my interning hours yet either, so there's still a little glimmer of hope on the horizon that I'll have more days off than anticipated. I'm not sure I'll know what do with myself if that happens. I've recently been introduced to the world of abandoned buildings and hope to go on some road trips with friends to seek some out. Hopefully they'll make for some amazing photos - if they do I'll definitely upload some posts so you can go check them out for yourselves. I grew up reading Enid Blyton books and I have say there's something very 'The Famous Five'-esque about exploring abandoned sites. Who knows, maybe we'll even solve a crime and then drink some ginger ale to celebrate.
I'm also hoping to use some of this free time to get started on a special project I've been masterminding with a couple of friends. More on that later, but I really hope it comes together they way I see it in my mind (high school art classes taught me that this rarely happens, but fingers crossed).
