I Feel Good (na na na na na na na)

This is just a really quick post to show appreciation for the things that make you feel good about yourself.

I know it's been a while since I cut my hair but I honestly have to say I have never felt more confident or happy about the way I look. I grew my hair out for six years and was terrified of even trimming it. I dyed it pink once but even during my bleached out haze I refused to let the hair dressers touch it with the scissors (I'd like to point out that typed that Z's the first time - good one Mary). I urge anyone who has wanted to make a change or try something different to just go for it. I had to pace around the salon every time the hair dresser chopped a little more off before letting her continue - but it all worked out in the end and I couldn't be more grateful to that woman for putting up with my crap.

In other news - this is currently my go-to outfit for everything and anything. It includes all my favourite things - midi skirts, stripes, the colour black and a cropped shirt - and when I put it on I feel pretty damn good about it. I'm pretty sure everyone has an outfit like this - you know the one I'm talking about, the one you put on and leave your bedroom in just to hear you family's sighs of exasperation and exclamations of "Really?" or "Again?" or my personal favourite "Didn't you wear that yesterday?". Yes I did, thank you very much, but I look good and I'm seeing different people today so I'm going to own it. All in all as long as you're willing to put on a load of washing that only contains a few items and hang the clothes out overnight to dry (on the regular) then there is nothing wrong with wearing the same outfit all the time. If you look and feel good then you can wear whatever the hell you want. For some people it's Dr Marten's, for other it's septum piercings or body con skirts or skater dress. Whatever it is, put it on and have a lovely day.
