I have to admit, I didn’t trust this recipe. It all seemed too easy to be true. All I have to do is cut up the steak, put some pepper on it and cook it briefly? There has to be a catch.
But guys, spoiler alert, there fuckin’ wasn’t. All hail queen Chrissy, she who brings us crunchy, meaty goodness and asks for nothing in return (except the book’s $50 price tag).
This recipe is technically called ‘Steak Bites with Melty Blue Cheese Butter’ but lols, as if I can afford blue cheese when I’m already forking out for porterhouse steak, so I used mozzarella, and fear not, it was still god damned delicious.
Also if you’re wondering if that is cheese sprinkled over the bites, think again, cause they’re French Fries. Yeah, those potato chips you’d always beg your mum to buy at the supermarket for your recess to no effect whatsoever. Well now you’re a grown ass adult and can eat almost an entire packet while you cook dinner for her like a boss.
Anyway I digress, this recipe was easy, fast, and as someone who had to eat an entire tray of them by herself can attest, very tasty. I’m not grading these recipes (maybe I should?!) but if I did this would get a solid 11/10, would make again.
